To have a pure heart, do we need to receive a new heart from God, or can we purify it ourselves? Job 14:4

By following strict moral guidelines, we can purify our hearts on our own.

With enough willpower, anyone can purify their heart.

Can the carnal mind submit to God's law? Romans 8:7

If the person is dedicated, they can submit to God's law on their own.

An unconverted person cannot obey God's law, even if they try.

The carnal mind can naturally obey God's law without any need for conversion.

With enough effort, anyone can fully submit to God's law.

Human nature is inherently good and can follow God's law without divine help.

Is it enough to recognize the beauty, wisdom, and justice of moral teachings for our nature to be changed? Romans 7:16, 12, 14

Yes, intellectual acceptance of moral principles is the key to transforming our inner nature.

No, but deep admiration of moral teachings will automatically lead to a transformed nature.

Yes, simply acknowledging the wisdom of moral teachings is all it takes to change our nature.

A person can recognize the greatness of moral teachings, but this alone is insufficient to truly transform their nature.

As long as a person fully understands and agrees with the teachings, their nature will change.

Who can free us from our sins? John 1:29

The Pope.

Jesus, the Lamb of God.

The Pharaoh.

The Caesar.

Who is the source of all that is good in us? James 1:17

Self-improvement and hard work are the primary sources of all that is good in us.

The positive aspects of our environment and upbringing are the source of all that is good in us.

Our Father in heaven: God.

Our personal experiences and life lessons shape all that is good in us.

Our own efforts and achievements are the source of all that is good in us.
